OUR PHILOSOPHY

Children are at the center of everything Mayadem does. They inspire us and we inspire them. Of course, games are at the center of the lives of children. It is through play that they comprehend the world. That’s why Mayadem makes digital toys that enable children to discover and expand their imagination and learn in a fun way. We do this with pure compassion, love, and faith.

Parents are essential to Mayadem; we immerse them in the game too. We build a safe, ad-free digital world in which they can play and spend quality time with their children. We work as a collaborative educational institution together with an academic advisory board that consists of experts in the fields of education and pedagogy.

WHY MAYADEM

Mayadem is a responsible mobile educational institution that promotes the culture of “play, discover, and learn”.

Today’s children have advanced perception. They are highly capable of adapting, embracing, and experiencing new things. They learn fast, have superior characteristics, and demonstrate multiple talents. A new generation of tools and environments are needed in order to utilize their extraordinary talents and activate their diversified intelligence.

Children need development that will take them to higher levels than a standard and linear education could. Each and every game and educational app created by Mayadem focuses on developing different skills. Games and apps that address basic skills and requirements provide guidance to children in their first steps on their journey of learning that will last a lifetime.

Mayadem keeps the interest of children alive and takes them on new journeys through fresh knowledge and creative content. Melike GÜNYÜZ

Melike graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1991, and completed her post-graduate education at Boğaziçi University with her thesis titled “Bursalı Talip Divanı: An Edition, Criticism and Review.” In 2001, she received her PhD from the Ancient Turkish Literature Department of Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences with her work titled “An Analysis of Ahmedî Divanı.” She worked as an editor, chief editor, and general manager in Erdem Publishing between 1994 and 2012. She currently works as the chief editor at Sedir Publishing Group. She carries out academic studies especially on publishing and children’s literature. She has more than twenty published story books. Most notably, the Primary Education 1-8 Turkish Text Books that she prepared together with a big team have taken their place in the literature as exemplary works in many ways. She delivers seminars to parents and educators for the purpose of developing the culture of reading among pre-school and school-age children. She is married with two children.

Yegan Sasık ÖZCAN

Children’s Psychologist

After completing her post-graduate education in psychology with a work on the relationship between teenagers and parents, Yegan Sasık Özcan has been working in a private psychology consultancy center on babies, children, teenagers, and parents for the last seven years. In addition to therapeutic works, she provides consultancy services to pre-school educational institutions for personnel selection, curriculum authoring, educational material selection, and education of educators; and to enterprises for their social responsibility projects regarding children, teenagers, and families.

Duygu AYDOĞAN

Classroom Teacher

Duygu Aydoğan completed her graduate education on classroom teaching, and has been working as a classroom teacher to children at all levels from 1st to 4th grade and delivering reading-writing lessons to pre-school children in private primary educational institutions for ten years.

Additionally, she continues to support students with their studies in other fields by delivering lessons on creative thinking and thinking skills. At the same time, she carries out projects for increasing technology usage in education, effective use of technology, adapting to new trends, following up on students’ interests in technology and guiding them to useful applications, and integrating classroom educational technologies into curriculums as an education technology leader in the enterprises in which she works.

Nuran ERCAN

Guidance Counselor

Ercan graduated from Istanbul University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department, and has been working in various education institutions as a psychological counseling and guidance specialist since 2000. Ercan is married with one child.

She received education in solution oriented therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and post-traumatic stress disorder from related institutions and experts, and currently continues her education in family and couples’ therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Nuran Ercan currently works in the guidance counseling department of a private education institution.

Enes Kaban

Enes Kaban received his BA in Psychology from İstanbul Şehir University. After his graduation , he started his doctoral degree in developmental psychology at Koç University. Enes completed internships in various psychiatry centers. And is still working as a research assistant at Koç University.

Ebra Uraloğlu

Content Consultant
Ebra Uraloglu received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Political Science & Public Administration (double major). After she received her bachelor’s degree, she started her Master’s degree in Applied Developmental Psychology. During her undergraduate years, Ebra completed internships in various kindergartens, psychological guidance centers, and psychiatry centers. After her graduation Ebra worked as a psychologist at a special caring center for disabled people and rehabilitation center. She received special trainings on child development and assessment. She works as a research assistant for the Relationship Research Laboratory at Ozyegin University and a project manager for the POEM Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy Center.

Hatice T. Ersoy Petek

Hatice T. Ersoy Petek, received her BA in Psychology from Yeditepe University. She took trainings in; Family Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Mrs Ersoy-Petek  is also a administrator of the  WISC-R. She has worked as psychologist and managerial positions at Istanbul Municipality Disability Center, which enabled her to attend several workshops and seminars. She continues to develop her occupational skills via individual and group supervisions. She is experienced in adolescent, adult and family psychotherapy and counselling. She is an executive board member of Ruh Sağlığı Alanında Uzman Kadınlar (RUHSAK) Association. Mrs. Ersoy-Petek is married and have a child.
